Joson Images was founded in 2006 by Imelda Joson, a scientist, entrepreneur, passionate photographer, nature lover, and conservationist. She worked in the magazine publishing industry for 11 years and served as Photo Editor for Sky & Telescope, where she also managed Sky Publishing Corporation's extensive library of astronomical and historical images.

Imelda's photos have been used in both print and online publications, such as The New York Times, The Boston Globe, NBC News, USA Today, Parade, The Christian Science Monitor, LiveScience.com, Yahoo News, UMass Lowell's Engineering Solutions, Space.com, Sky & Telescope magazine, Astronomy, and book covers for Cambridge University Press, to name a few. Her photos have also graced the pages of brochures, banners, pop-up banners, and other marketing tools.
